2008 Winter Challenge Voting Now Open
Posted on May 3, 08 8:02 AM GMT by Sambo

Yes, The Research and Development team prepared their parks display page on RCT3D.com and set up the poll. Unfortunately they were too busy to announce it, so I'll step in and tell everyone to go HERE and vote today!
The 2008 Winter Challenge
Posted on Mar 16, 08 7:28 PM GMT by Walter Krum

Greetings my fellow snowblind friends!

After a long Winter in the RCTspace Labs the Engineering Staff and I went on a cross country skiing expedition - no thanks to Derwood's lodge reservation making ability, as we had to take the jeep cross country to even find the place! Out in the middle of nowhere we found the lodge and had a great time on the slopes. No, the extra sunlight did not help Mort's skin condition.

What we did discover was a little parcel of undeveloped land on the dangerous side of a mountain slope. Lonnie was able to get some funding to purchase the plot and "Dealin' Dinky" set up the land purchase and conditional permitting to build a Winter Park. Not a bad way to spend a vacation weekend. Well, except for having to deal with Bull Swenson's irrational fear of the snow and an exceptional bar tab run up by that Mrs Johnson, but I digress...

What we were able to do was get the place for the official Nutz 'n' Boltz 2008 Winter Challenge just in time as there is still a huge snow pack on the ground and is not expected to begin the Spring melt for a few weeks. It means that time is short. The object is to build an Alpine Coaster Toboggan Run. Oh yes, there is more. You didn't think after all this we would make it easy did you? You must include on this mostly impassable 75 x 75 parcel a structure, a shop, and an additional ride. That's correct my engineering students - An Alpine Coaster Toboggan Run with a structure, a shop, and a second ride.

More details can be found over on the Nutz 'n' Boltz site.

The bench can be downloaded here

The discussion can begin in this topic.

You had better get those tool kits out and your pocket calculator's batteries charged because this mini-park must be submitted to walterkrum@gmail.com by May 1st 2008.

Good Luck. You'll need it as the ground is probably still frozen. Remember, Bigger and Better Theme Parks for Tomorrow!

Sincerely,
Walter Krum

Rctm 1.2 (english, Dutch, German)
Posted on May 5, 08 5:49 PM GMT by JJ

RCTModified 1.2 has now been released. It introduces the use of RCT2 and RCTModified at the same time as well as the SV7. There are also minor language changes. Not really any new features just more of a functionality update.

IF YOU HAVE RCTMODIFIED 1.1 OR EARLIER INSTALLED THEN PLEASE RESTORE THE BACKUP G1.DAT THAT CAN BE FOUND IN THE RCTMODIFIED FOLDER OTHERWISE RCT2.EXE WILL ALSO RUN RCTMODIFIED AS WELL AS RCTMODIFIED.EXE

To continue use of your existing parks with rctmodified please rename your park from SV6 to SV7. An explanation for this change can be found on the RCTModified Page. This version comes in 4 versions. One version is for use with English using the CD, one for Dutch and one for German. The Fourth version is for use for those who use the no cd patch. Enjoy smile.gif

More information available here.

RCTMODIFIED ALSO HAS A SUPPORT FORUM AVAILABLE FOR TOPICS IN GERMAN, ENGLISH AND DUTCH. HERE.
Microworks

MicroWorks is a new accolade for RCTAvenged. You have to have the same skill required for a Top Park or Blueprint, just on a smaller scale.

The maximum size accepted is 20x20. And the park can't have been released anywhere in the RCT Network before.
Other than that, it can be anything you want.
If chosen for MicroWorks, your park will recieve a Park Page, with Logo, Description and will be uploaded onto the Site.
